Crazy Egg alternative
A Crazy Egg alternative with no cookies, and webview support.
Crazy Egg is one of the original heatmap tools, and now includes recordings, A/B tests and more. Maximizii is narrower, and goes somewhere Crazy Egg says it doesn’t: inside mobile apps’ webviews.
In short
Crazy Egg offers more ways to view clicks, plus recordings, A/B testing and surveys. Maximizii offers click, scroll and attention maps with no cookies and no recordings, and it works inside mobile app webviews, while Crazy Egg says it doesn’t track behavior in mobile apps.

What Crazy Egg does better
If you’ll act on a map by testing a change, having A/B tests in the same tool is a real advantage, and Maximizii has none. Its confetti view, which shows clicks by source, answers a question Maximizii can’t yet, since our maps don’t split by referrer.
What’s different here
- Webviews. Setup for iOS, Android and React Native webviews, including bundled pages.
- No cookies, and no recordings. There’s less data about visitors to look after.
- Rage and dead clicks on the map. They’re a filter on the click map rather than something you find in recordings.
- Developer detail. Each element comes with its selector, so you can go straight to the code.
Questions
Does Crazy Egg work in mobile apps?
Its own FAQ says it doesn’t offer behavior tracking for mobile apps. Maximizii works for web pages in an app’s webview, though not for native screens.
Does Maximizii have a confetti report?
No. Maximizii’s maps can’t be split by traffic source yet.
Does Maximizii have A/B testing?
No. If you run experiments, keep your testing tool or choose one that includes them. You can compare two versions in Maximizii by giving each its own path.
