Contentsquare alternative
A Contentsquare alternative, for teams who need something smaller.
Contentsquare is a broad platform, tying journeys, zones and revenue together, and it now includes Hotjar. If you just need to see clicks and scroll on your pages, that may be more than you need.
In short
Contentsquare covers journeys, funnels, experiments, surveys, replay and product analytics, and its standard tag is small: 3.1 KB gzipped, by its own figure. Maximizii covers click, scroll and attention maps only. Its case is simplicity, no cookies and no recordings, not size or breadth.

Side by side
What’s said here about Contentsquare comes from its own site, checked in November 2026: heatmaps, webviews, cookies, performance. Products change, so check anything that matters to you.
When Contentsquare is the better pick
If you need to tie page zones to revenue, follow journeys across pages or run experiments, Contentsquare does that and Maximizii doesn’t. Native apps are covered as well. Its tag is also smaller than ours, so script weight isn’t a reason to choose us over it.
When Maximizii is enough
A small team with a marketing site, a store or a web app, who want to see where people click and how far they get. No recordings to review or to protect, nothing to configure beyond one line, and a map you can read in a minute.
Questions
Is Hotjar part of Contentsquare?
Yes. Contentsquare says the two have merged, and new Hotjar users now sign up on Contentsquare.
Is Maximizii smaller than Contentsquare’s tag?
No. Contentsquare states 3.1 KB gzipped for its standard tag. Maximizii is under 6 KB.
Does Maximizii do zone-based analysis?
Not as Contentsquare does. It shows each element’s clicks and share, and bands of attention down the page, but it doesn’t link them to revenue.
